Havin' fun!

8 Months Old!

I'm 8 months old today!! I don't know how much I weigh or how tall I am but I'm growing as big as can be! I still don't have any teeth but mommy is okay with that! =) The shots above are just a few shots from me playing around the house today. I hope you like them!

If you didn't notice Zaylee has a nice red bump on the side of her head. Not only did she turn 8 months today but she rolled herself right off the bed for the first time. I caught her before she hit the floor but not before she hit the side of her head of the nightstand. It was very, very sad. But luckily not too much damage was done....just a little bump and a sad girl for about 5 minutes. She is a quick forgiver though and we still had fun for the rest of the day. We love you all!!

On the move!!

I just had to post these new pictures. Zaylee has been crawling now since the 3rd of February and she's getting into all sorts of trouble. She crawls to the nearest thing that she can pull herself up to and then walks along it to get to the next object that she wants to transfer over to so she can find trouble there. In the first picture she had worked her way across the coffee table, to the t.v., and finally landed at the movie stand pulling all the movies off. I picked her up, moved her far away, and so then she crawled over to the bookshelf to try to get Alex's books. I had put the car seat in front of it trying to keep her away but she just worked her way around that until she could reach up to get the books. She's a smart little girl!

More Snow!!!

The pictures of the snow are just for you Andrew and Sammy!! Wish you were here to play in it with us! =) The picture of Zaylee....well it's just cause it's cute! (Please excuse her funny looking hairdo...that's my fault not hers....I'm not much into doing baby girl hair...I know, I'm a slacker mom!)

7 Months Today!!

So instead of a picture of Zaylee today you get to see what her 7 month birthday present from the doctor was! At the doctors office yesterday we found out that she has her first ear infection. The doctor almost didn't catch it at first because there was a lot of wax blocking his view but after a few minutes he said that he just didn't feel okay with letting her go without pulling the wax out and looking behind it. Luckily he did! He said she has a really bad ear infection and he decided he needed to take a double look just to make sure it wasn't going to burst because it looked so bad. So, he said, "no wonder she hasn't been feeling good!" and gave her an antibotic and some pain medication. He said she also has the cold/congestion junk that has been going around but she'll just have to fight that one off on her own. She hates the antibiotic and does everything she possibly can to spit it out--including gargling when I do get it back to the back of her throat and then spitting to make sure it gets more on me and her clothes than in her mouth. She's such a little smarty pants! =)

One other quick sidenote, we also found out that she weighs exactly 16 pounds. We didn't find out her height or percentiles but I'm sure it's pretty much around the same as 6 months.

Sick baby

Zaylee's not been feeling to swell the last couple of days and thus has been very, very needy...wanting to be held ALL the time. Well, I had to get reay to take her to the doctor today and she wouldn't let me put her down so I sat her on the sink for a minute to grab something and she found the faucet quite interesting so she slid down in and started playing and grabbing for whatever she could reach. She loved it! I thought you might enjoy as well! =)

Playing with Blocks

Howdy everyone! It's been awhile since I've posted so I figured today would be a great day to do so! Here is Alex and Zaylee playing with one of her new favorite toys....blocks. She normally is the one with the block in her mouth but this time Alex thought he would try to do the perfect impersonation of her--he did a pretty good job, at least I think so! The cute outfit she's sporting is from Christmas from Grandma Barlow and Aunt Steph. She looks so cute!! We love her new clothes! We are all doing great! We are loving Alex's new school schedule because we all get to be home together a little bit more, which I absolutely love! And stay tuned, I have another cute outfit to post a picture of her in so next time she wears it we'll be back! =)

Beach Fun

Zaylee had a blast playing and rubbing her toes in the sand. Unfortunately, as do most kids, the sand went almost immediately to her mouth--once that happened all was lost with the playing in the sand. She started crying and even after getting fresh water to rinse it out, as soon as I took her back out by the water she would cry. Luckily for us after a couple of hours she forgot and would go back out to the beach with us.

The first picture was taken right off the rocks at the back of the house. The morning tide rises pretty high. The first day it kinda freaked me out because I couldn't believe how close it was to the house! It's really great to watch though!
