Grandpa's grapes

Grandpa & Grandma Heaton gave us some grapes when we went visiting last weekend and Zaylee has been loving them! They are SO yummy! Zaylee loves it when I give her a little bowl with a few grapes in it. Here are a couple of photos of her enjoying them.

Camping

For our final weekend before Alex goes back to school we decided to go camping. We went to Oak Grove in Southern Utah and it was a BLAST!! We had so much fun! It was so beautiful there and so much cooler up in the mountains. Zaylee loved being outdoors and getting to wander around but she got very frustrated with all of the pinecones, rocks, and sticks that kept tripping her! =) Needless to say, she had many falls and by the end was just so frustrated with them that when she would fall down--even the little falls--she would just sit there and cry. She wouldn't try to get up, she wouldn't try to move, nothing...she just sat there and cried for mommy until I went over to pick her up and get her going again. It was quite funny.

We went hiking, played horseshoes, sat around the camp fire roasting hot dogs and marshmellows, played games, had our own version of the Olympic Games with the kids, and many other fun things. I love the peacefulness of the mountains and I LOVE how many stars you can see!! That is one thing that I really miss about small towns...the amount of stars that you can see without all of the city lights. Now I just wish we would've gone sooner during Alex's break so we could've gone again!

Anniversary

We made it! It's been 3 years...well, almost. Wednesday is our anniversary but since we will be out of town I thought that I would post about it today. It has been a wonderful three years. There are so many things that I have learned and loved. It has been a crazy time with a lot of ups and downs but luckily for us there have been a lot more ups. I know that there are many more lessons still to be learned in the many years to come but I am looking forward to every minute of it. I am so grateful to have Alex in my life. Marrying him has been the best decision that I have ever made. Here are a few of our memories so far:

WAHOO!!

Well, Alex has made it through Fall, Spring, and now Summer semesters for his first year of Graduate school. (Summer actually counted as the beginning of his 2nd year but still...) And guess what! Yep, you guessed it, he made it through with flying colors. Today he got his last grade for this semester and *drum roll please* STRAIGHT A'S!! I know, I am the proud wife, but hey someone has to do it! I have to brag for him because I know that he would never do it on his own. =) He works so hard and I am so proud of him. I know I don't make it easy for him all the time because I love to have him home playing with me and Zaylee but still he manages to pull it off somehow. So, great job babe-Ruski!! I Love you!!! =)
