New tutu and a hair cut

Zaylee got her first haircut today. Nothing, fancy just a trim of the bangs...so all of you that have been harassing me about it, there! it's done!! =) Now we no longer have to worry about her pulling her hair clips out or about hair hanging in her eyes! Awesome!! =) And, check out the cute tutu she's sporting!! Thanks to cousin Steph for the awesome new homemade tutu!! We love it!!

Stewart Falls

Okay, so I'm finally getting around to it. For the 24th, Alex, Zaylee, Kurt, Jill, Nathan, and I all went and hiked up to Stewart Falls. It was a blast!! I took my camera, but unfortunately, the batteries ran out just before we got to the falls. (Never buy batteries from the dollar store! =) ) But here are some of the pictures that I got before they died--the blurriness of them also is contributed to the batteries dying. It was too bad that I didn't get any while we were there, Alex and Nathan climbed to the top of the falls in which Nathan, upon the climb back down, practically covered himself with mud! It was great!! Zaylee did pretty good. She didn't want to stay in the pack for too long (I don't blame her, the pack we had was a little too small) but she did pretty good considering that it was her first hike. It was lots of fun!

Baking cookies

Okay, so this turned out a little blurry, but here's Zaylee's first time helping bake chocolate chip cookies. She's got flour all over her little fingers and nose. She's a great help! And...she loves chocolate chips!! =)

Still Around

Okay, so it's been awhile, but there hasn't been a whole lot to post about, just the same muundane things going on. Well, that is besides the 4th of July and the trip down to St. George. We had a blast and wish we could spend more time down there with family, but you know how it is! Someday, maybe we'll end up back down there...

Anyway, I didn't get any pictures of the trip but since it's been awhile since I posted pictures of Zaylee, I will post a couple that Kasey took of her for her one year birthday. Someday, if I get around to it, I will do a slide show of all the photos she took, but the three above are my favorites so for the meantime they'll have to do (sorry to all of you who've already seen them!).

Also, I guess I can tell you about the weird little encounter we had the other day as well. We were at Barnes and Noble browsing around and this lady comes up to us and asks if she can ask us some questions about our baby. We say sure. So, she asks how old Zaylee is...we tell her...then, she asks us if we have ever considered putting her in commericals. She was from a talent agency and wanted to know if we would be interested in having her audition with them. The lady said that Huggies was just here and they didn't have any babies so they've been looking for some to audition for when they come back in town. I'm was pretty hestitant about it so she just gave me her card and told us to think about it. Alex thinks it would be interesting to see what would happen, I on the other hand, think that even if she did make the cut, I have no interest in a child celebrity....so, who knows. Funny though huh!
